Youth

Mission Statement
"Empowering Youth to become totally devoted followers of Jesus".

The "River Warrior" We welcome all high school age youth to join us.
THEME - One Life >>>Make it Count! - Bible chapter for the year - Colossians 3

The River Warrior Youth Group meets every Tuesday night at 6:00 with a meal at the Maitland River Community Church in Wingham. It is a great way to get to know other youth in your community and learn more about what God has in store for each unique person He created. Some regular activities that we do are singing, prayer time, teaching time and this year we have a whole new way of doing small groups. Come check it out!
There are also four big events that we like everyone to participate in to strengthen our relationship God, as well as with the others in youth. These events are Fall Retreat, SHAPE Weekend, All Ontario Youth Convention, and H20 Serve.
One Life - Make it Count! We will be focusing on how we can use the one life God gave us to make a difference in this world. Hope to see you there!

Core Values - what we are about

  1. A safe place to encounter God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit*, and get to know and love His Word - the Bible.
  2. A loving and safe place for youth to come and build relationships with each other, with the leaders, and through small groups.
  3. A place to encourage and experience spiritual practices such as prayer, worship, giving, Bible Study, using gifts, and serving for life both privately and in community.
  4. A place to encourage youth to reach out, through word and deed, to those that do not know Jesus, and bring them to the community of faith.
  • GOD - We are created by God to love Him
  • JESUS - We are saved by Jesus
  • HOLY SPIRIT - We are guided by the Holy Spirit
